Mark is a partner in McKinsey’s Recovery & Transformation Services Practice.

Mark has expertise in developing and implementing operational and financial turnarounds across a number of industries. Over the course of his career he has work with clients in automotive, retail and distribution, metals and mining, financial services, consumer products, energy, power and natural gas.

Examples of his recent client experiences include:

  • Chief Transformation Officer for private university during a comprehensive transformation
  • Restructuring advisor for the largest global renewable energy development company during their Chapter 11 restructuring
  • Chief Transformation Officer for a Canada-based metal by-products producer during comprehensive transformation
  • Led transformation of U.S.-based integrated steel producer overseeing the restructuring of an international subsidiary
  • Led commercial printing company through a Chapter 11 restructuring process that resulted in the transformation and ultimate sale of the company to a strategic buyer
  • Served as Executive Vice President of Sales for a middle market cable service provider during a pre-packaged Chapter 11 restructuring process where he was responsible for sales force effectiveness and organizational design
  • Led the planning and implementation of a comprehensive restructuring across levers including operations, working capital, capital spend, and overhead for a leading automotive supplier
  • Turnaround advisor to leading nutritional health food brand, focused on the rapid implementation of a turnaround program in parallel with a repositioning of the client’s brand

Mark previously was a Director in the Turnaround and Restructuring practice at AlixPartners LLP and began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. Mark holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. Mark is a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA).
